Activities and proposal plan for 2024/2025.
SSA is preparing for the training courses (Emergency Obstetric Management) that are planned to start on 2025 in Edna Aden Hospital. Together with the University Hospital of Basel, we organized the simulation training courses in pregnancy support and obstetric assistance for medical staff from all over the country from 2019 to the end of 2024. Around 300 medical staff were trained during these periods.
Organizational Organogram
SSA and Basel group will start implementing on 18 October 2024 to install the Sanatory materials in Edna Aden Hospital.
Governance
SSA is a membership association. Members General Assembly is the highest authority, which holds
its meeting once in a year. The General Assembly elects the Board of Directors for the period of two years. All strategic and policy issues of the organization are decided by the Members. The day-today and routine activities of the organization are run by the executive members.
As you can see in the picture in January 2021 Somaliland Swiss Association donated Balimataan Boarding School Mattresses Beds and sports shoes

At the request of the local population, we built a school building and a dormitory for boys and girls in Balimataan.
During the 2018 drought, we secured food for around 500 people in Balimataan for three months until government aid arrived.
Distributed food items cost to the target benefits during Balimataan Draught Recovery program.
