Specific objectives
A) Provide Course Emergency obstetric management
SSA´s mission is focused on helping improve its people’s health by supporting know-how transfer in the health sector and social development of the country by promoting sustainable education in regional hospitals and MCH in Somaliland. Currently, we are focused on the Emergency obstetric management courses that we trained last 6 years in Edna Aden Hospital.
B) Research and Documentation
Conducting studies, research and documentation with the aim of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of community empowerment programs.
C) Women Empowerment
Putting functional adult literacy/learning as a centre, SSA strives to assist women initiatives to address strategic and practical needs of poor women. Assisting poor women especially IPDs reorganize themselves through the help provided yearly by SSA. SSA mainstreams these important aspects of development into all its programme interventions
- Networking and Partnership
SSA is establishing and strengthening networks and partnerships with other NGOs empowerment actors both nationally and internationally. SSA works with Basel University Hospital and Edna Aden Hospital and is looking for more partners with the same goal to engage in Somaliland.
- To develop effective linkages with government line agencies, nongovernment organizations, and donor agencies working for community development.
- Execution of programs aimed at basic health care services (preventive and curative) including Mother and child Health, hygienic sanitation and management of waste disposal,
- Improve health facilities by providing basic health and hygiene equipment and services to the communities residing in neglected areas as IDPs
